Please use this article if you are an existing or new V1 Pro user and need to upgrade to the new pro software. (The process is the same whether or not the older V1 Pro HD software is already installed).

Important: Do not uninstall V1 Pro HD before installing V1 Pro Studio. Users can and should keep both installed side by side. Please note, you do not need V1 Pro HD installed in order to install V1 Pro Studio.

The new V1 Pro software is most compatible with the following system requirements:

Instructions

  1. Download the installer file of your choosing below for V1 Pro Studio.

  1. Locate the downloaded installer file. Locate at the bottom of your browser, or in your computer's Downloads folder.

3. Click the arrow and select "Open" or double click the installer file in your Downloads folder.

4. The Installer window will pop up asking you to begin installing the V1 Pro Studio software.

5. Click through the "Next" buttons until you get to the below screen, at which you will choose "Yes."

6. Confirm the download location (the place on your computer you want your software save to be located). Click "Next" if you are okay with the default location or choose "Browse" to locate another location to save your V1 Pro Studio software files.

7. Select the features you want to install

Important: Steps 10.a-10.i are only applicable if the "codec pack" checkbox is selected on Step 7 below.

8. Click "Next" if the Program Folder default is correct or type in a new folder name (or select from existing folder list) to choose another folder location and then click "Next."

9. You should see the below screen. Wait for the software installation progress bar to finish loading.

10.a Make sure "Normal" is selected and choose "Next."

(Only applicable if the "codec pack" checkbox is selected on Step 7).

10.b Select your preferred video player and check any additional setting boxes that apply for you, otherwise make sure your screen matches the options selected below and choose "Next."

(Only applicable if the "codec pack" checkbox is selected on Step 7).

10.c Choose Decoding Method

(Only applicable if the "codec pack" checkbox is selected on Step 7).

Your Decoding Method may default to something other than what is circled, which may or may not work better than the circled option, depending on the hardware in the machine. We recommend for most systems choosing "Use software decoding."

The software decoding option is most compatible, the DXVA2 Copy-Back option gives best performance when used on capable hardware.

10.d Select the following option settings below and click "Next."

(Only applicable if the "codec pack" checkbox is selected on Step 7).

10.e Set your Language preference and choose "Next."

(Only applicable if the "codec pack" checkbox is selected on Step 7).

10.f Set your Audio configurations.

If unsure, select the boxes to match the image below.

(Only applicable if the "codec pack" checkbox is selected on Step 7).

10.g Choose "Next."

(Only applicable if the "codec pack" checkbox is selected on Step 7).

10.h Wait for installation progress bar to finish loading

(Only applicable if the "codec pack" checkbox is selected on Step 7).

10.i Select "Finish."

(Only applicable if the "codec pack" checkbox is selected on Step 7).

11. Select "Finish." That's it!
