Drills and Intros!

This article teaches you how to create and add supplementary videos to your lesson.

At the end of recording a lesson, you may want to add a prerecorded drill or intro video to your file. After recording, the video details page pops up and on the bottom right hand corner of your screen, you see a list of videos associated with this lesson. At the very bottom of your screen is a "+". This is where we can add a prerecorded video with audio! This is helpful because the video within the V1 Pro app does not include audio unless you are adding a voiceover.

Follow the steps below to get started!

Step 1: Capture video

Using your iPad camera outside of the V1 app, capture the video you wish to send to your student.

The reason you do this is to ensure you are also capturing audio! If you take the video using the V1 Pro App, you will not capture the audio.

Step 2: Open V1 Pro App and Import

In the V1 Pro App, go to "Library" at the bottom of the screen.

Go to the top right corner of the screen and choose the "+" icon. Click "Import content." from the pop-up menu.

Step 3: Choose your Video

You now have access to the videos on your camera roll. Search for your "Videos" folder. Choose the video you wish to send and select "Use."

A message will pop up "Saved to outbox; sync when ready to upload." This is good news, click "OK."

Step 4: Go to Inbox

Locate and select "Inbox" at the bottom of the screen in the V1 Pro App.

There are three tabs, select the "Outbox" tab, and you should see your video!

Step 5: *Edit Description*

The default description is "Imported content." Normally, this is not the video description we want! However, now is your only opportunity to change video details. Click the video to open video details.

In the bottom left hand screen, there is a "Description" box. Click the video description text box. Currently, it says "Imported Content." Click the box to open the details editor to edit the video description notes.

Note: the list of your completed drill videos will be sorted in alphabetical order according to its description. Making sure you can identify the video by it's description is also important because you cannot open the video at the time of adding it to your lesson.

Step 6: Navigate to Inbox

Navigate back to your inbox by clicking the Inbox button on the top left of the screen.

Step 7: Export video to your Cloud

Hit the Refresh icon on the top right of your screen to upload this video to your locker.

Step 8: Locate Video

Your video will no longer be visible in the Outbox tab. You can view the video in the "Sent" tab on this screen or in your video locker.

You can also navigate to "My Locker" on the options at the bottom of the screen. This video will be under the "My Lessons & Drills" tab! Remember that this view is in alphabetical order via the video description. Scroll to find!

Step 9: Add drill/intro video to your lesson

Now if we are about to send a lesson and you want to add this drill/intro video, it will be available as a listed option when you click the "+" icon in the lesson details screen referenced at the very beginning of this article!
