How to Use Voice Activated Capture in V1 GOLF

We'll cover how to start recordings with your voice in the V1 GOLF app

Written by Leslie

Applies to: iOS V1 GOLF users on app version 5.5 or greater

Solution Overview

  1. Tap person icon to open settings

  2. Toggle on Voice Video Capture

  3. Tap capture icon in bottom menu

  4. Say "V1 Start"

  5. Wait for the 5 second countdown, then record your swing.

You may need to manually configure your device permissions. If voice capture is not working after being toggled on, go to your phone settings, tap Apps, tap V1 Golf app, and then ensure Microphone and Speech Recognition are turned on.

Step 1

Open your V1 GOLF app, then tap the person icon in the top right corner of your screen to open your settings.

Step 2

Toggle on Voice Video Capture. If this is your first time turning it on, your device may ask you to confirm you'd like to allow speech recognition. Allow speech recognition to use this feature.

Step 3

Tap the capture icon (camera) in the bottom menu. Set your phone up to record, then say "V1 Start". Your device will countdown from 5, then will record.

Tip: Using an external wireless microphone makes it easier to use this feature in a noisy setting, like a busy driving range. Here is an example of one you can purchase.
